Brenda J. Snyder Keysock, 51, of Conestoga, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Friday, February 12, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was the wife of Ernest J. Keysock, Jr. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Paul and Joyce Shuman Snyder of New Providence.
Brenda was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts which she loved sharing with her family and friends. Her interests included TV, the computer and listening and dancing to country music. She enjoyed a simple life and rarely left southern Lancaster County. Beneath her hard exterior was a gentle, loving person.
Surviving besides her husband and parents is a son, Donald Sharpe, Jr.; two daughters, Tonya Sharpe and Nikki wife of Jeromy Smith; her loving grandchildren, two stepsons, Dakota Keysock, all of the Willow Street area, and Ernest Keysock III of Manheim; two sisters, Judy wife of Joseph Butt and Cindy Snyder; and three brothers, Paul “Jeff” Snyder, Kevin Snyder and Steve Snyder, all of the Willow Street area. She will be greatly missed by her mother-in-law Theresa Keysock and family and by her aunt Mim and Donna.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
