Betty Irene Lentz

Betty Irene Lentz (Lewis), age 96, of Woodcrest Villa, Lancaster PA, died Friday, December 27, 2024 at Trillium Place Care Center surrounded by loving family. She was the wife of the late George S. Lentz (high school sweethearts), married 61 years. She is survived by daughters Carol L. Burger, wife of Bruce C. and Sandra J. Brandt, wife of David K.; 5 grandchildren: Karla, Megan, Kevin, Kyle, and Kelly; and 8 great grandchildren with another expected in April.

Betty was a graduate of Abington High 1947, and attended Montgomery County Community College and GwyneddMercy. She was a secretary/administrative assistant at Curtis Publishing Company in Philadelphia and PecoraCorportation in Harleysville, PA.

She spent over 30 years boating with family and friends on the Chesapeake Bay. She was a volunteer throughout life, including a Friendly Visitor at the Mennonite Home, docent at James Buchanan’s estate, docent at Conestoga House and Gardens, and Oak Leaf Manor Nursing all located in Lancaster County, PA.

Betty was a Deacon of the Wayside Presbyterian Church, Landisville, past planning team member for the senior programs and bereavement committee.
