Betty Jane Frey Fridinger, 82, of Lancaster, died Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy.
She was the wife of the late Charles R. Fridinger, Sr. who died January 29, 2009. Born in Smithville, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester A. and Florence N. Kline Frey.
Mrs. Fridinger was a self- employed beautician for 31 years. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Willow Street. Betty enjoyed bingo, card games and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Charles, Jr. husband of Carol Fridinger of Lancaster, Donald husband of Gina Fridinger of Hawaii, and Richard husband of Barbara Fridinger of Lititz; a daughter, Beverly wife of Robert Pitts of New Providence; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd husband of Ruth Frey of Lancaster, LeRoy K. husband of Dolly Frey of Landisville. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Logan Parker Zambanini, and a brother, Paul M. Frey
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street, PA with the Rev. Wilmer R. Martin officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Fridinger’s memory may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
