Anna E. Armstrong, 77 of Lancaster passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 4, 2024 at Penn State, Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Reeder) Miller. She grew up in Glen Riddle, PA.
Anna graduated from Media High School in 1965 and chose a career of giving to others by being a nursing assistant at Tri County Hospital. After that she spent the rest of her career being a home health aide for many years. She enjoyed caring for others and gave love to everyone. She accepted everyone she met and gave the same love no matter who you were. Her beautiful blue eyes, bright smile and contagious laugh will forever be remembered by everyone who was blessed enough to meet her. She truly was an angel walking the earth.
She not only made time to raise her daughter mostly as a single mom she also raised her grandsons to be the amazing men they are today. She lived for her grandchildren and great grandchildren they are what kept her going. We will miss the smell of her and her granddaughter “Jani” baking cupcakes on the weekends. We will miss the smell and taste of the amazing meals she always made. She was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jose) Galarza. Her grandchildren; Brandon (Leslie) Armstrong, Alex (Vanesha) Armstrong.Great-Grandchildren; Janileisha (Brandon) and Adalynn (Alex), as well as her brothers; Russell (Carol) Miller and Robert (Leilani) Miller. She was everyone’s favorite to her many nieces and nephews who knew her adoringly as Aunt Annie. Also affectionately known by her grandchildren as Nannie/Nan/Nan-Nan.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her brothers Ralph and Richard Miller, her sister Mary Goetchius and her life-long friend Mary Ann Jones as well as her many fur babies she loved over the years.
A Funeral Service to honor her life will take place at Life Mennonite Fellowship Church, 732 Millwood Road, Willow Street, PA on February 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM. The visitation will take place from 9:30 AM until the service begins. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
