Aaron J. Brubaker

Aaron J. Brubaker, 90, a resident of Woodcrest Villa, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Mennonite Home.

He was married 69 years to H. Arlene Neff Brubaker. Born March 14, 1920 in East Hempfield Twp., he was the son of the late Levi H. and Anna G. Brubaker. A lifelong farmer, Aaron’s passion was the love and respect of the land. He had also been employed as a Pioneer Seed salesman for many years. Aaron was a member of the Potato Growers Association in Potato City, PA, and Rough and Tumble in Kinzers, PA. He had been involved with various committees at the Farm and Home Center and had been a member of the former Lancaster County Poultry Association. Aaron was a lifelong member of the Rohrerstown Mennonite Church where he had served as a trustee, a Building Committee Chairman, was past Chairman of the Stewardship Committee, and had served on the Cemetery Committee for many years. His hobby was repairing and restoring old tractors. Surviving besides his wife is a son, J. Roy husband of Donna Brubaker of Amity, OR; three daughters, Ruth A. wife of Lamar Zimmerman of Manheim, Betty E. wife of Steve Martin of Ephrata, and Dottie L. wife of Abe Landis of

Manheim. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; a brother, J. Lester husband of Lois

Brubaker of Lititz; and a sister-in-law, Frances Brubaker of Lititz. He was preceded in death by a brother L. Paul Brubaker. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rohrerstown Mennonite Church, 601 Rohrerstown Road, Lancaster, PA with Pastor Dennis Ernest and Pastor Millard Garrett officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Rohrerstown Mennonite Cemetery.
