Mina Elizabeth "Bets" Rill

In Memorial

Mina Elizabeth “Bets” Rill, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at her home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Minnie Doster Rill.

A 1941 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School, she worked for the former RCA and retired from Hamilton Watch Co. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Rohrerstown, and also the Lancaster Chapter of the American Businesswomen’s Club and the Town & Country Garden Club. Bets enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her sisters, Mildred Ulrich, and Nancy V. Rill with whom she resided. Also surviving are a brother, Robert W. Rill of Lancaster, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen Newcomer and Jeanne Cascio, and a brother, John Rill.

Funeral services will be held from the Salem United Church of Christ, Rohrers-town, 2312 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 2 PM with interment following in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 1 to 2 PM at the church.
