Mildred R. Ulrich

In Memorial

Mildred R. Ulrich, 96, of Lancaster, formerly of Tucson, AZ, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Manorcare Health Services. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Minnie Doster Rill. She was the wife of the late Dr. William O. Ulrich who died in April of 1992.

Mildred attended Stevens High School and worked as an interior decorator. She had also worked for Hamilton Watch. She loved flowers and helped to found the Town and Country Garden Club, Lancaster, and was a member of the Arizona State Garden Club. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Rohrerstown.

She is survived by: a sister, Nancy V. Rill of Lancaster; a brother, Robert W. Rill of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Lucille Rill of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her sisters, Helen Newcomer, Jeanne Cascio, and Mina Elizabeth Rill; her brother, John Rill.

Funeral services will be held from the Salem United Church of Christ, Rohrerstown, 2312 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. with interment following in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salem United Church of Christ, Rohrerstown Memorial Fund.
