Michael A. Iburg (54) was a man that lived life the way he wanted. Fierce protector and adoring father of Marcus and Simon, whom he loved beyond measure. Beloved husband of Joy.
He leaves behind his siblings Thomas, Jennifer, Danny, and Milissa. He is survived by his mother Eileen. Nieces and nephews and grand nephew and grand niece.
Michael grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and had worked as a Sheet Metal Mechanic as part of local union 28 in NYC.
Michael was an amazing artist as his true passion was for art, painting his figures, and playing games.
Michael was a genuine, kind soul and was so loved by those he grew to know. A warrior to the end. Michael will be sorely missed by all as his memory and legacy will be the love he leaves behind.
A visitation time for friends and family, will take place at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E Orange Street, Lancaster, on Saturday 9, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

I remember Michael as a quite shy kid. He was the first of two Iburgs I met…Danny was the next. He only hung out in our crowd for a little while but you could see He was a good soul. I am so sorry for your loss and may He fly with the angels.

Lo’ there do I see my father
Lo’ there do I see my mother and my brothers and my sisters
Lo’ there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning

I was with you, Michael, all the way as you passed in my arms. I honored you, as you wanted and I feel your love all around me. Your big sister will always look for your loving signs meant for me. I adore you, little brother. Until we meet again, and laugh as we always did, you’ll be present in the depths of my soul. My love for you is eternal.

When you started in the Local, I took you with me on some really dirty sweaty rough jobs (Tommy knows). You jumped in with both feet, and made a game out of it. The adventures of Muck Man & Dirt Boy you would say in the morning. I know that you jumped into life with both feet also. Danny said you went down swinging and of that I have no doubt. Deepest sympathies to all you left behind – Rest in Peace Dirt Boy
