Farewell Dad. I’m so grateful to have had you in my life. I can remember how much you loved camping and that you had an opportunity to go places, fulfilling your dreams. Funny though, you had to have cloth napkins and real silverware. You will be greatly missed. I love you Dad.

    Dear Matt,
Now that you have left us, the fraternal group of guys who all met while employed at Trailways, is now one less. You will be sorely missed because you were always the “gentleman” of our group. Compared to you, the rest of us were ruffians, but your demeanor had its effect, and slowly rubbed off on us.
We’ll always remember you as the picture perfect Trailways bus driver, and I’ll remember you as one of the best taxi cab owners (“Takoma 18”) and dispatchers for Takoma-Langley cab company.
But, as all good things must end, you moved on to a new endeavor with Yellow Freight in PA, and also to spend your golden years with the love of your life, Dot. Now, you are both together forever.
    Rest in peace dear friend.
    Love,
Al Snyder and the “Talleywacker” gang: Mack, Peggy, Bill, Pat, Doris and Marilyn

I just learned of Matthew’s passing today. He was such a dear man, and neighbor. I will certainly miss him. I always enjoyed talking to him, and every time he started his station wagon up, to go somewhere, I could hear it from inside my house. We would laugh about his hot rod muffler.
    So long. My friend.

Matthew was my uncle and an influential part of my life during my “growing up” years (1970 – 1975). It was the summer before my sophomore year in high school when Matt and Dot and the kids moved to Millersville. I would often spend evenings at their home watching TV or playing cards, especially when Dot was alone with Susan and Sandra while Matt was on the road. There are too many memories to recount, but a massive water battle during one of our large family picnics is one I will never forget. I can say Matt helped me to mature, pointing out things that a man did or didn’t do. I appreciated that he always took an interest in me and what I was doing I could always count on having a good conversation with him. I enjoyed his long stories, his detailed explanations of things, and his sense of humor. Goodbye Matt. I love you. -David Jay.

I’ve never left a condolence before. Reading all these wonderful memories with family and friends warms my heart. I was Mr. Brandt’s dog groomer for a little over three years and in that short time I cared deeply for his gentle words, his kindness and stories. I would pick Pepper up at his house and groom her and bring her home. We would get to spend before and after time talking and getting to know each other sharing stories. For all the people who had the chance to spend many years with him, you are very lucky and blessed. I’m deeply so saddened, he was someone I will never forget. He will leave an everlasting impression on my life. My condolence to all his family and friends ❤

Sandi, The word Departure literally means to pull up anchor and set sail. Everything that happens prior to Death is a preparation for the final voyage. Death marks the beginning, not the end. It is our journey to God. Your Dad will be missed dearly just as your Mom and Susan.. You all were a special Family. May God give you strength as you go through this trying time. Hugs. Love. And Prayers. Love you June
