Condolence from William Burgum on March 19th, 2020 2:42 pm

My deepest condolences to the Becken family. I served with Don as an Air Force TACP. His impact as a Leader, mentor and friend still exudes in many of us today. I’m proud to call him a friend and thankful to have had, and still have, such men like Don in my life. This is a testament to his Mom. Good men just don’t happen, they are raised to be.

God Bless and prayers to all,

Billy (Badger) Burgum, MSGT, USAF (Ret)

My deepest condolences to family. Childhood memories of Mr. & Mrs. Becken are still talked about. We had the pleasure of being with Mrs. Becken while in Lancaster a couple years ago. I had the honor of helping her at school one summer as a kid. She was enjoyable to be around. Our memories will last with them and Donna and Donald. Prayers to all family members.

Condolence from Priscilla Garrett on March 21st, 2020 10:47 am

Mary, your mother, was an inspiration to me personally. She knew the Lord and desired her family to walk with Him, too. I am so thankful she is where she has wanted to go, even last Sunday when we visited her, she was talking about getting there, “maybe this week?”

May God encourage you these days as you experience this big change in your lives.

My husband, Millard and I were a part of the Rohrerstown Mennonite Congregation where your parents were a part of the body of believers in Jesus.

~Priscilla Garrett, for Millard, too

Our heartfelt sorrow for the loss of your Mama.
Your Mom was so kind and generous to me over the years. She took me in when I needed help, was very loving, and she cooked for me. And later in life when my daughter was older she helped her with her schoolwork, tutoring her, she was excellent at that. God gave her a long life, two beautiful children who loved her, and lots of grandchildren to love her also. Love ya

Condolence from Jennifer Diegel on March 24th, 2020 11:01 pm

My grandmother, Mary, was not just my grandmother. She was also basically my mother for a very long period of time. She has given me more love and patience than any one has ever given me. Way more than I probably ever deserved. She has watched over and taken care of my family, her daughter with my siblings. She has taken care of us mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually. I have never seen anyone more devoted to God. The faith that she has had for many years has had an INCREDIBLE impact in so many other lives as well. I will forever miss outing out to eat together and hearing her sing. Regrettably, I will not miss her cooking. She was an amazing mother, friend, sister, daughter, nurse, teacher, pastor’s wife. Most importantly, she was my Grammy and I was her little Jenny.
