Malcolm R. Burd Jr., age 90 of West Creek NJ passed away December 28, 2020 at Southern Ocean Center in Manahawkin NJ. Mac as he was known by family and friends was born in Tuckerton and was the son of Malcolm R. Sr. and Anna Driscoll Burd. He retired as a superintendent for Ocean County Weights and Measures, and was the Mayor of Tuckerton in 1974. He was a graduate of Tuckerton High School, a member of the Improved Order of Redman, Pohatcong Tribe #61, and a lifelong Republican. He served honorably in the US Navy.
He was also a life member of the Tuckerton Vol. Fire Dept. Mac was predeceased by his sister former Tuckerton Boro Councilwomen Shirley J. Whealton, and is survived by his brother Larry Burd and his wife Joanne of Little Egg Harbor NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery Tuckerton NJ
