Lucille Dibble

In Memorial

Lucille Dibble, 90, of Willow Valley Communities, Lancaster, PA formerly of Yardley, PA, passed away Oct. 26, 2014. Lucille was born May 6, 1924 in Summerville, South Carolina.

Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Norman, daughters Susan Muncey (William) of Voorhees, NJ, Barbara Heisler (Gordon) of Washington Crossing, Pa, granddaughters Kimberly Heisler-Quay (Cosmo Iacavazzi) of Yardley, Pa, Eryn Braue (John) of Pequannock, NJ and Great Grandchildren Daniel Quay, Cecelia Quay and Bryn Braue; and a sister Marjorie Buzby of Willow Valley.

Lucille graduated from Somerville High School, Somerville NJ and married Norman Dibble August 25, 1945 shortly after he returned from serving in England during WWII. They spent many years in Bridgewater NJ raising their family. Here Lucille began her career in banking with the First National Bank of Somerville. She continued to follow this career path when they moved to Huntington NY culminating at Chase Manhattan in NYC. Commuting to NYC and working in the Financial District was definitely the highlight of her career.  After retirement, Lucille and Norman moved to Yardley, PA to be closer to family. They subsequently moved to Willow Valley Communities in Lancaster, PA where they have resided for thirteen years. Lucille always found time to enjoy sewing, needlework, gardening and reading.

Lucille’s family would like to express our profound gratitude for the outstanding care Lucille received at The Glen at Willow Valley as well as with Hospice and Community Care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Willow Valley Manor North Johnson Auditorium, 600 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Glenn Creveling officiating. Friends may greet the family following the service.  Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA  17604-4125 or to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA  17603.
