You will feel at home in our family’s home. The handsome Italianate-styled mansion with a brick carriage house and adjoining stone property on East Orange Street is a warm, comfortable place to discuss plans and provides a classic setting for all sizes and types of services. Recognized nationally for its historic and architectural significance, the home was built in 1872 as the residence for almanac magnate Reuben Baer. It became a funeral home when purchased by J. Fred Fisher in 1927.
After serving as Mr. Fisher’s apprentice and associate for years, C. Abram Snyder purchased the business and the property. The mansion became his home and home to his children and their children’s children, from Kearney A. Snyder to Mark C. DeBord and Diane Snyder DeBord and their sons, Jeremy R. and Randall K. DeBord, who continue the family business today.
We would like to share our proud history of the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory. You are welcome to call (717) 394-4097 to learn more about the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, email us at info@DeBordSnyder.com, or take a virtual tour here.
