I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Sippel’s passing. He was a mentor to me, helping me to enter the career of physical therapy. Through his generosity I was able to attend Franklin and Marshall then attend University of Penna to become a physical therapist. That was 40 years ago. I still am practicing part time as he suggested to me.
Your father is part of my story/journey in the field of PT. When people ask me how I got started I always mention his name. He had a rule that when you replaced pillowcases you made sure the opening of the case faced away from the door of the room!!! I still do that!
My prayers and thoughts are with you. He was a great man and will be missed. It was a great honor to know him.

I had polio as a child and saw Jack for weekly therapy; first when Easter Seals was located behind the Lancaster Public Library, and then on Juliet Avenue. He always had a smile and would loving tease me throughout our sessions. I have in my possession a picture of the two of us, me (age 9) on the Elgin Table with Jack standing tableside. Years after my therapy had ceased, we met again on the street and I was pleasantly surprised that he remembered me. I will always think of him as a kind and giving man. I am sorry I did not see of his passing until today. My sincere sympathies to the family. ~Patti

Dear Jan and Jack, my heart felt condolences on the death of your father. Your dad was an incredible influence on my life. I have had a wonderful career as a PT and business owner thanks to his insight and influence. I don’t know if you know that I stopped by to see him several years ago when my Dad was in the hospital after having open heart surgery. We had a great visit and I am so glad that I got the opportunity to thank him personally for the impact he had in my life. Jack, I hope you are well and enjoying life in Fla. Jan, I would love to see you again and have the chance to share some of the special memories I have of your Dad and Mom. You and your family have always had a special place in my heart and always will. Love, Mark
