Ron, Alice, and Family: I want to express my sympathy upon reading of Jack’s passing. His accomplishments in a long, successful life were exemplary! On the lighter side, I’ll always recall the night he threw us out of the house when we became too noisy while watching the Flyers play the Russians!

“Doc” will be greatly missed by his dental family. The staff at Centerville Dental and his former patients are fortunate to have known him. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

My sisters and I want to express our sympathy for the passing of our Uncle Jack. We are unable to be with you on Wednesday, but will be with you in spirit. We have fond memories of Uncle Jack at our numerous family get-togethers in Lancaster and would often see him as a referee at basketball and football games!

Condolence from Ron Smith on December 10th, 2013 3:55 pm

Jack was a fixture at the Hamilton Club Health Club, riding the wheels off that stationary bike.
In earlier years, he was a competitive squash player, enjoying his rivalries with friendly competitors.
He will be missed.
With deepest sympathy to the Metzger family.

To Ron and family,

Please accept our condolences at this difficult time. Mr. Metzger, (my father had another name for him) was always a kind, funny man. His generation is slowly fading away but will never be forgotten. His accomplishments speak volumes.

Peace to all of you.

Ron, Alice and family – we offer our sincerest condolences and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow. From Kahlil Gibran: “And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek
God unencumbered?…And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.” Take care.
