As a member of the Lancaster Chamber Singers, for whom Helen was the accompanist for many years, I’ll always picture her with a beaming smile and remember her open-mindedness, her great sense of humor and love of a good joke, and, of course, her amazing musical ability. She was one in a million!

Helen accompanied me many times with the Lancaster Opera Company and other community events. Her ready smile and great musicianship made music making a wonderful experience.

Your mother had a great way of lighting up a room with her music and her fabulous sense of humor. She was so full of wisdom and spirit and I feel so blessed that you allowed her to be apart of my life. She was so incredibly proud of her family and I can still see her face light up when receiving a phone call or mail from a friend or loved one. She truly treasured all of the relationships around her. Her creativity and joy will be forever missed. Thank-you again for sharing her life with me, even if it was for just a short time. I learned a lot from her. She was a very inspiring woman. Her spirit will most definitely live on through everyone’s heart she touched.

To Chris, Don, John and your families,

Aunt Helen will always be in my memory. She was my first music teacher and always a good listener. She also brought Kay and me the news of the accident so kindly and gently. Neither of us will ever forget that.

As fellow Pisceans, we always called one another on our respective birthdays!

I am sorry for your loss, but grateful for her life and grateful that she was a part of my life.

Your cousin, Julie
