Gina Marie Groah

Groah photo web

Gina Marie Groah, age 38 transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord on February 22, 2021.  She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on February 19th, 1983.

Gina will always be remembered as an incredibly compassionate person.  She was a friend to all who crossed her path.  Her kind heart made her an extraordinary caregiver.  She had an infectious laugh, the best sense of humor, and a vivacious personality.  She found beauty in the outdoors, loved being in the water, traveling to new places, and planting flowerbeds and gardens.  She was fascinated with history, entertained us often with her musical talents, “Gina-isms”, and loved her Mom’s Italian cooking.

Above all, Gina’s most precious gift in life was her daughter, Sophia.  She was an adoring and proud mom and forever cherished their time together.

Our dear Gina was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by a daughter Sophia May; father Clyde Groah; mother Carma Jeanne DeNezza Solberg; and siblings, Christine; Cheryl; Christopher (Jen); and Cameron (Tim).  She was preceded in death by grandparents, Clarence and Emily Groah, Dominick and Lydia DeNezza.

This is so heart breaking. Gina was (along with her sister Cameron) one of my “Adopted” daughters. The 2 of them were in my life from the moment they were born. From day one, Gina was such a Spitfire! Life was never dull with her around. I will always remember her silliness, exuberance, zest for life and her temper tantrums! We had many great times on vacations to the Mountain Cabin and the Beach House….always in the stream at the cabin or the canal at the beach catching crabs…in her underwear! Life was too short for you my love, but you are now in a better place and watching down on all of us from Heaven.
    Love and remembrance always,
    Aunt Steph and Uncle Doug

My heart is broken that it was Gina’s time to go home. My heart is celebrating she is at peace and anew. I have so many fond memories of Gina and Cameron dressing up in clothes from the attic and Mawsquaw’s closet, Gina memorizing Gunga Din for Pawsquaw, Gina and her beautiful baby Sophia. What a loving mother she was. And the stories . . . Hilarious and amusing stories of so many fun times. Our love, hugs and prayers to Sophia, Jeanne, Cameron and Tim. We love you.
