I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of George at work, scouts, East Petersburg and mostly raising our children. I’ll never forget when we moved to East Pete and Michael and Heather were trying to adjust to a new neighborhood. The doorbell rang one day and it was George with Matt and Dan to say hello and welcome us to East Pete. That meant a lot to our family and I knew from that day that George was a class guy.

It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven.
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. The Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 37:29.

Fond memories of George as we cheered for our kids over the years in soccer, lax and swimming … and trying to stay up with him as he sprinted to check points in x-country meets.
