Condolence from Michal Ann “Mickey” (Shertzer) Williams on August 30th, 2014 3:04 pm

To Mrs Brubaker and family:
Dr. Brubaker was my eye doctor ever since I can remember (and I’m 60+ now). He was such a kind, gentle man. I am sad for you – the family – as I know you will miss him dearly, but I rejoice with you that he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, now. My own dear mother – Jane Shertzer – went to be with Jesus on May 1st, so I know a little of what you are probably feeling as you grieve your loss. God bless you and comfort you.

Condolence from Lucy de Perrot on September 8th, 2014 2:03 pm

I was saddened when I read about Dick’s passing. I have so many good memories of the times we spent together. We live at Brethren Village now. I walk every morning and when I see red geraniums and white petunias I think of the circular porch and Dick’s parents’ flowers. From the obituary I learned that you live there now. At least I assume that was the place Dick was born. I remember all the fun times we had at the pool with the Stauffers and the Gantzes. And the Saturday evening suppers we had together. I think about you when I am tempted to reach into the washer while it is still spinning. I remember how you got hurt.
I hope you are well. I don’t know how long you were Dick’s caregiver. This will be a major adjustment. You were together such a long time.
I will continue to pray for you and your family. Losing Dick is really hard for you, I know. God bless you.
