Condolences for the family of “Dorothy J. Garboczi”

Condolence from Lani Pettit on March 30th, 2017 9:33 pm

So sad to hear the news today. Dorothy was a fellow Dionne Quintuplets collector and we had been emailing for a few years sharing news and pictures of the quints and about dolls. She often lovingly mentioned her children as well, seemed to be very happy where she was living, and had a wonderful attitude in spite of her diagnosis. She will be greatly missed by myself and other quint collectors.

It is with great fondness I recall Nick & Dorothy. They were especially helpful during the illness of my late husband, Morgan West. Dorothy brought food, and Nick supplied and installed a new TV in the “recovery room” of our home. Dorothy and Nick were good friends, good people.

Dear Dave, John, Ed, and Linda,
I remember Dorothy. Her laugh, her spunk, the way she loved the ocean. You are all in my thoughts,

Condolence from Rebecca Ryan-Jones on April 3rd, 2017 11:20 am

I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of your entire family, especially for Dave who was so very close with Dorothy and involved in taking care of his mother, his father, and his uncle before her. Her passing is a devastating loss for Dave and his siblings, in-laws, grandchildren and great grant children. Craig and I have many happy memories of spending time with Dorothy down at her winter home in Sarasota. She was generous in letting us use her winter home when we wanted to get away. She was always welcoming, vibrant and interested in “drumming the sun down” and quiet time on the beach. We enjoyed her company. We will miss her. Are thoughts and prayers are with your during this difficult time.
