Condolence from Bob Butts on December 9th, 2014 5:13 pm

How many memories do I have of Dave Thomas? Fun visits to Pequea Valley Intermediate School on warm summer mornings with Dave Thomas driving and five of us neighbors filling the backseat of the Ford Torino…. Or visiting the wonderful cottage up in Light Street, Pa that was filled with antiques..floating in the creek with Pam…or Kay and Dave bringing a bottle of wine at Christmas, to share with my parents as they ate some of my grandmother’s home made fruit cake.. or helping pick strawberries with Dave that he and Kay made into wonderful jam. Or laughing with them on warm summer nights on the Columbia Avenue front porch. The Thomas’ were wonderful neighbors and we knew we could always count on Dave to help, to care, to be there. Our lives were wonderful gifts and he was part of the wonderful memory. My thoughts and prayers are with you all- Kay, Jeff, Pat, Ann and my dear friend Pam.. With deep affection

Condolence from Paul Mays Jr. on December 9th, 2014 6:59 pm

So sorry to see the passing of Mr.Thomas. I got to see the inside of his office probably more than other students at PVIS in the mid 70’s. I would get sent to his office for getting into trouble and the next day he would smile at you and pat you on the back like nothing happened. Being a youth at the time I was unaware of his military service, Thank you Mr. Thomas for Serving our country and for being our principal. God bless you. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Paul J Mays, Jr.
