I’m so sorry to hear of the death of your brother. I had no idea you have had so much to deal with this year. You are always professional and a pleasure to work with. May the waters be calmer ahead!
Dear Karen, I am truly sorry for the loss of your brother Carl. You have had a tremedous amount of loss in your immediate family. I am so sorry for what you had to endure this past year. Sinerely, Chris
Praying this summer will be a healing time for you, my friend.
Dear family of Carl:
I remember Carl as a terrific childhood friend. We probably played hundreds of sandlot baseball games on the grounds of both the Lancaster Brethren and Calvary churches that were close to our homes (neighbors often complained about baseballs drifting onto their yard so we tended to bounce from one place to the other). He also sometimes came to our house to play home run derby with a wiffle ball in our back yard. Sometimes after having something cold to drink we’d watch Dark Shadows. We also played organized baseball together with a junior midget team called the Bear Cubs.
I remember Carl as a very feisty and skilled catcher and remember his singling me in from third base to help to finally defeat Leola, our nemesis that year. All my memories of Carl bring a smile to my face. He was a terrific competitor and great friend.
I’m sincerely sorry that those of you who were closest to him have had to lose his presence in this earthly life much too soon. Carl is among a handful of childhood friends whom I will never forget.
Dear Cousins,
I was truly saddened to see that Carl had passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families.
Cousin Doris (Miller) Herr

Carl had been hospitalized in late February and diagnosed with several health issues including COPD (breathing difficulties) and blood clots in his legs. These difficulties prevented him from working these last few months. He died in his rooming house of natural causes. We are deeply saddened by his premature death following the deaths of our dad in July and mom in April.
