Bree “Breezy” Taryn Caffey, 22, went home to Jesus on Friday, July 15, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. She had fought a courageous 11 month battle with Burkitt’s lymphoma.
Born January 31, 1989 in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Jeffrey D. and Robin L. (McFadden) Caffey of Willow Street. She graduated from Penn Manor High School in 2007 and would have graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2011. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, striking blue eyes, and her kind, generous heart.
Bree is survived by her sister, Arielle Elizabeth (Caffey), wife of Jonathan Dunkle of Marietta; a nephew to be born in November, 2011; maternal grandparents, Henry and Phyllis McFadden of Lancaster; paternal grandparents, Morton and Astrid Caffey of Lancaster; Maternal great-grandmother, Laura McFadden of Florida; aunts and uncles, Shari (Caffey), wife of Keith Miller of Lancaster, Dianne (McFadden), wife of Shane Hershey of Shippensburg, and Sandra (McFadden), wife of David Turek of Quarryville. She will be greatly missed by her cousins, A.J. Turek, Leesha Turek, Joe Turek, Holly Turek, Luke Hershey and Paige Hershey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of life service at Lampeter United Methodist Church, corner of Book and Village Rd., Lampeter, PA on Friday, July 22nd at 11: 00 a.m. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Byerland Mennonite Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bree’s name to 8 Lime Hands of Hope Relay for Life Team.
