Condolence from Christopher Benjamin Dickson on June 27th, 2017 1:24 am

Since first arriving in Lancaster in Oct. 99 and attending First Assembly, I had the honor of knowing “Barb” and her wonderful daughter and family. Through many trials in my life, she was always there to take me aside, and gently speak peace and wisdom to me. My mom, gram, and later dad loved her, and earned her respect over the years during their timr at First Assembly.
When my daughter Olivia Annette was born, Barb took the greatest care of “Liv” and I never felt more at ease than when she was in Barb’s very capable and loving care! She was a very powerful, graceful and calm presence in the church and I am indeed better for having known her. Rest in Jesus’ very capable and loving arms, I’ll see you soon, goodnight.

I cannot believe it has been 1 year since my beautiful friend has gone “HOME”. i miss her so much. i think about her everyday and i still call the desk in the front office “Barb’s desk”. Pastor Paul used to say, who is Barb? I tell him all the time how wonderful she was and that he would have loved her. Can you imagine all the things she is discussing with Jesus right now? I am anxiously awaiting the time i will be with her once again.

Barb was one very classy lady, but first and foremost, she exemplified the love of God and her Savior Jesus Christ – and she was never backward about sharing Him with others. This is what I will always remember about Barb and will try to emulate in my own life – she was an inspiration!!!
