The world has lost a spectular lady, whom was a friend and neighbor. I learned so much from her. To the family of dear Barbara, my heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Enjoyed speaking with her, or on phone or via e-mail. We had a lot in common, and being the same age
we saw the changes in the world and feared for many. Having some grandchildren at my home until next week sometime, very sorry, I am uable to be there on Tues. 6/12. However, all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
REST IN PEACE, DEAR BARBARA ANDREWS.

Barbara and I were suite-mates in the Dean’s Office at Lancaster Seminary for the years she worked there. Her wit and sense of humor complemented the depth of her knowledge and wisdom. She was always my hero for her tenacity, her kindness to others and the way she treated all with grace and respect. My heartfelt sympathy to you, her loved ones, of whom she always spoke lovingly and proudly.

It was my privilege and pleasure to work with Barbara at Lancaster Theological Seminary. She was so knowledgeable and efficient, as well as being fun. Her sense of humor added so much to every facet of our work. She shared her interest in politics which was very enlightening to my husband, Mel, and me. She wrote eloquently; she enhanced our community events and meetings. Her excellence in grammar was superb, and we all counted on her for correct answers to our questions. Many times she surprised folks with her ability with languages, often with amusing results. I enjoyed knowing her and working with her; she was a unique, delightful, very kind and thoughtful person. I deeply regret that I am unable to be at her memorial service; I should like so much to meet her family of whom she spoke so highly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
