Anna Bartlett

BARTLETT, Anna Lillian (nee Parker) 68 of West Creek, NJ, went home to be with JESUS on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 after a lengthy intermittent battle with cancer. Anna was born in Lakewood, NJ, in 1951, and raised in Beach Haven Terrace, NJ. She was the youngest of 13 half brothers and sisters. In 1973, she married Edward Walter Bartlett, and they moved to West Creek, NJ, in 1980. On August 25, 2019, they celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.

Anna graduated from Long Beach Island Grade School, Southern Regional High School, Ocean County College and Glassboro State College where she majored in Executive Secretarial, Art, and Early Childhood Education. After teaching a couple of years at Littlest Angels Nursery School in Sicklerville, NJ, Anna gave birth to four children and spent a very successful “career” raising four wonderful boys. In “retirement” years, Anna taught at Little Egg Harbor NJ Discovery & Play Community Preschool.

In addition, Anna was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, where she helped teach and serve in Sunday School, the AWANA children’s program, the Missions Committee, the Monthly Community Meal, and also visited the elderly and sick.

Anna is survived by her husband, Edward Bartlett, her four children and 17 grandchildren. They are: Robert (Jessica)- Jacob(Felicia) & Emily of Forked River NJ; Raymond(Joanna) Andrew, Jesse, Jordan, Riley & Reagan of Little Egg Harbor NJ; Christopher (Genoveva) Isaiah, Maria, Shiloh, & Eden missionaries to Niger, West Africa, and David (Natalie) Eva, David John (DJ), Alan, Wilson, Mathis & Jesse of Marysville, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother Robert Kircher of Beach Haven Park, NJ, and her sister Lois Green of Panama City, FL. Anna is predeceased by her father, George Wilbur Parker, in 1960, granddaughter, Alexandria Bartlett, in 2003, and mother, Lillian Anna Bevan Kircher Parker, in 2018.

Anna’s visitation and memorial celebration of eternal life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 850 Railroad Dr. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. The visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday, September 6th and 10 am September 7th. The service will be 11 am September 7th with a burial to follow at West Creek Cemetery, Thomas Ave & Jones St. West Creek, NJ 08092. A repast will follow at Calvary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Africa Mission House Project in the village of Una in Niger, Africa, in which Anna’s son, Chris, and his family have been actively involved. Thoughts and prayers to your family in this time. I had the pleasure of meeting Anna on a few occasions. What I remember in the times meeting her was that you just felt that she had a beautiful soul. She really lit up a room with her smile, sense of humor and caring personality. I pray her family will have peace and comfort in this difficult time. God bless.
