Sara R. Taylor

In Memorial

Sara R. Taylor, 79, of Lancaster, passed away June 17th with her closest family by her bedside.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Phares H. and Elsie M. Gaul.  Sara’s employment included Schick Inc.,  Schwalm’s Watch Factory and various retail stores.  After retirement, she worked at Amelia’s Grocery Store.

Sara’s hobbies were shopping, crocheting and keeping house.  She was an avid fan of the WWE, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, and Penn State.  Her greatest joys were being a mom, grandmother and watching after her dog Ginger.

Sara was a member of the former  St. Stevens Lutheran Church in Lancaster.

She is survived by her children, Randy H., husband of Vickie Sload of Conestoga, Torreen A., wife of Charles Leibold, Jeffrey C. Taylor, and Tracy R., wife of Merle R. Eller all of Lancaster; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Van Aulen, and two grandchildren, Derek E. Leibold and April L. Taylor.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 3131 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA on Thursday, June 21st at 11:00 A.M.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 A.M.  Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125

    To Sara’s Family: Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time. Sara and I grew up on Green Street and attended school together. I will always cherish the fond memories that we shared.
