I will miss seeing Pete and Petey when I walk my dog at work (j. a. sharp Custom Jeweler). Petey and my dog Roxie didn’t get along, so Pete and I were careful to take separate routes. Pete was always so considerate – he’d call out to me when he and Petey were going into his apartment so that I could come out the back gate with Roxie.

    Rest in peace, Pete.

Joanie, I thank you for the picture in the obit. I do not have any pictures of Pete through the years or later in life except the one from my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. I loved him dearly and I will miss calling him, loving him and taking him out to eat. We always had a special bond from little kids on up. It made my day when I saw him at the party for my parents. He will always have a place in my heart and Petey too.

    Your Cuz,

I went through the Gatehouse with Pete and also in recovery row with Pete. He is part of the reason why I am sober today and for that I will always be grateful. He will be in my heart and prayers.

R.I.P. Pete. Although I haven’t seen you since 1968 I will always remember you. We had fun that year running around and I remember going to the new holland fair and riding the feris wheel and the sudden stop when your face hit the cage. Even though I know it had to hurt like crazy we laughed like crazy. Thats the Pete I remember having fun with. When I left for the Marines we never connected again but like I said I will never forget the fun we had. God Bless you and your family. May they have peace and may you rest in peace my friend. Till we meet again. Semper fi

Joan, I was thinking about the last 3 years or so that I had spent with Pete, my first visit to his apartment and then his heart attack. Helping him with things to the best of my ability, taking care of Petey and hoping he would get better so we could go out and run around again. Taking him shopping, he shopped like a woman, I use to tease him about how long he took in the dollar store, etc. I will miss him so much and I hope one day we will meet again and he will be waiting for me in Heaven for a big family reunion. I will miss staying with him at his apartment and knowing I could stop by anytime I wanted too. He treated me like I was special and he was very special to me. I will always have a special place in my heart for him as we did when we were little kids growing up on Wiker Ave.
