June and Family, I’m so sorry to hear about Claude. When I started my Engineering career at Armstrong, Claude was my mentor and I’m still remembering/using skills he taught me. He was a wonderful person to work beside and was always there to add his commentary, good and constructive. I spent the majority of my time with Claude in Macon where you both lived for a number of years. I will always remember those experiences with Claude . My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this time. James Baker

Dearest June, My deepest sympathy to you and your family at the passing of Claude. The 45 years that I was privileged to know him and you and the 33 years I worked with Claude were very good years. He was always willing to help & guide us young engineers. I want to thank you for the many times you provided a home meal to me when I traveled to Macon & Pensacola. They were always great evenings. Again you and your family have my deepest sympathy. Sincerely Bob Palmer

June and Family, so sorry to hear of Claude’s passing. I’m surprised that I did not hear until today (Sunday the 23rd). I always enjoyed working with Claude and he supported me, particularly early in my career, when I was doing things a bit differently than the norm. We worked together mostly at Marietta and Macon. Thank you so much, June, for your hospitality in Lancaster, Macon, and Pensacola. I will make sure to stop by on my rounds. With sincere sympathy, Jim Cluck

    June and Family

Dad just told me the sad news of Claude’s passing. Our family has such fond memories of the summers on Pensacola Beach with your family. Dad has always had the greatest respect and love for you and Claude. I’ve never visited Dad that he hasn’t had some story about Claude at the San Carlos “office” or the plant in Muenster. I’ll lift one in memory of him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    June and Family,

I was privileged to have had Claude as one of my Sunday School teachers at Emmanuel Lutheran Church during my early teenage years. He remains for me one of my most respected teachers and I will always remember him. My wife Diane and I also enjoyed our association with Jim and his sisters through our involvement with the youth group at Emmanuel. We always appreciated your family.

    With sympathy,

    June and Family,

I am sorry to hear of Claude’s passing. As with many others, Claude was my mentor when I started working with Armstrong. I remember for every engineering question I asked, the answer always being given along with a story. You don’t get many opportunities to work with a person like Claude, and I consider myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him at the beginning of my career. The positive impact Claude had on all of us he worked with is beyond measure and he will be truly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

    Sincerely,
    Jason Huggins

I met Mr Bubb in 2001in Pensacola. At 81 he was still a strong and vibrant man. To this day I still tell stories of Claude. My favorite saying that I use and give him credit for is “of course we can do that. We put a man on the moon didn’t we.”
    I will remember him always.

    To June and Family,

My deepest sympathy on the loss of “Bubby”. What a wonderful long life yu had together. How well I remember our days together in Lancaster and Milton, with Uncle Skeet and Aunt Etta. Jim has been gone for 22 years, but you are all still family. Sincerely, Elaine

I first met Claude at Pensacola in the late 1990’s, during project work there. I assumed he was younger than he actually was, as many were struggling to keep up with him, even then. He was a great man who will be missed by many, but left a very positive mark on this world for those that knew him. I know that he will be missed by his family, but they can be proud of him always. Best Wishes.
